Therapy Investment
Investment:
$175 per 50-minute session.
I recognize that therapy is an investment so we will make a plan to work on what is most important to you in a time period that fits your budget.
Sessions can occur weekly or every 2 weeks depending on your needs and goals.
Do you accept insurance?
Like most specialty providers, I do not accept health insurance.
Self-pay gives us more control over the work we do and is a great option for clients who want to maximize confidentiality, flexibility, and have more say in their treatment.
Payment:
If you have a Flexible Savings Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you can use those to pay for services. I also accept all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Can I use out-of-network benefits?
If your insurance offers out-of-network (OON) benefits, they may reimburse you for part of my fee after meeting a deductible. You will be responsible for paying each session in full at the time of the appointment.
Upon your request, I am happy to provide you with a receipt (“Superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement (typically 60-80%) after meeting your OON deductible.
How much will I pay for therapy if I use my out-of-network benefits?
Most out-of-network deductibles are higher than in-network deductibles. This is the amount that you pay out of pocket before insurance kicks in. Please keep in mind that there are many reasons that your insurance company may not reimburse you for sessions that you have paid for. This may be because you do not have a diagnosis, they do not cover telehealth, or a number of other reasons.
How do I use my out-of-network benefits?
I want to make the out-of-network benefits process as easy for you as possible. I offer concierge billing through a 3rd party that can submit Superbills to your insurance company for you. Use my free, personalized Out-Of-Network Benefits Calculator below to get information about your benefits.
Whether you choose to utilize the concierge billing service or opt to submit the Superbills to your insurance yourself, I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to clarify how to send/upload the Superbills to them.
I also recommend that you ask your insurance company:
-Do I have out-of-network outpatient, telehealth mental health coverage?
-What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met this year?
-What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?
-How much will I be reimbursed for a 50-minute individual psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834)?
-How do I submit Superbills for reimbursement?
-How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged a $50 late cancellation fee.
